What if the changing seasons weren't simply something to observe—but a relationship to cultivate?
The Celtic Wheel of the Year invites us into a different way of living. Rather than seeing ourselves as separate from nature, it reminds us that we are part of it. The same rhythms that move through the earth—times of stillness and awakening, growth and abundance, release and renewal—also move through us.
Whether you've been following the Celtic Wheel for years or you're discovering it for the first time, you are warmly welcome.
Together we'll celebrate the eight sacred turning points of the Celtic year: the Solstices, Equinoxes, and the four cross-quarter festivals of Imbolc, Bealtaine, Lughnasa, and Samhain. But the festivals themselves are only the beginning.
This journey is about cultivating relationship—with the land beneath our feet, with the changing seasons, with the moon, with the timeless archetypes woven throughout the Wheel, with one another, and ultimately with ourselves.
Each point on the Wheel carries an archetypal energy—a universal pattern that transcends time and culture. As we learn to recognize these archetypes in the natural world, we begin to recognize them in our own lives. The season of letting go. The season of gestation. The season of awakening. The season of flowering. The season of full expression. The Wheel becomes not just a map of the year, but a mirror of our own inner landscape.
Through teaching, nature connection, poetry, music, journaling, embodied practices, and simple creative experiences, you'll develop a deeper relationship with these living rhythms and discover how they can guide your own life with greater intention, wisdom, and compassion.
During our year together, we will explore . . .
The archetypal qualities of each of the eight points on the Wheel and how they are expressed in both nature and within ourselves.
The wisdom of the dark (feminine) half of the year and the light (masculine) half of the year, exploring both their healthy and shadow expressions.
The rhythms of the moon and how they deepen our connection with the seasons.
Nature as teacher, mirror, and companion.
Poetry, music, journaling, and simple creative practices that help us embody each season's wisdom.
Sovereignty—what it means to live from your authentic center and trust your own inner knowing.
A more conscious relationship with the natural cycles that shape both the outer world and our inner lives.
Our Gatherings
For the eight festival months, we'll gather outdoors, rain or shine, to meet each season where it lives: in forests, fields, shorelines, parks, and other natural spaces around Bellingham. Together we'll slow down, notice what the land is teaching, and explore how the archetype of that season is alive both around us and within us.
During the four months between festivals, we'll gather at my home in Bellingham to integrate the season through reflection, conversation, journaling, poetry, music, and simple creative practices that invite the season's wisdom to take root.
This rhythm of outdoor exploration and indoor integration allows us not simply to learn about the Wheel, but to live it.
By the end of our year together, my hope is that you'll experience the changing seasons not as dates on a calendar, but as trusted companions—guiding you through life's inevitable cycles with greater presence, resilience, and grace. You'll leave with a deeper relationship to nature, a richer understanding of yourself, and a renewed sense of belonging to the living world.

This program is for women and those who identify as women who have done enough personal work to know how to self-regulate and get support if the content or homework, which has the potential to go deep, activates an emotional or spiritual wound.
“Colleen’s passion for this topic and her deep care for her students were always evident. And the safe spaces she created encouraged a very rich group dynamic where everyone’s life stories enriched us all.”
Community
Because this program is rooted in cultivating relationships—with nature, the seasons, one another, and ourselves—enrollment is limited to eight women, creating a circle where every voice matters and every participant is known.
Given that, attendance at each session is expected.
